Lecture Phase IDC/SAT 321/322 (Undergraduate)
"What will I learn in Lecture Phase?"
The curriculum is designed to help the student develop a solid, basic working knowledge of development, scripture-based development values, fundamental skills, Godly character, and good relationships. The twelve-week course includes:

• Principles of Community Transformation
• Role of the Local Church in Development
• Biblical Worldview for Development
• Cross-cultural Relationships and Skills
• Community Health Evangelism
• Dynamics of Development Storying
• Environmental Stewardship & Agriculture
• Water and Sanitation
• Church Planting and Multiplication
• Basics of Community infrastructure Systems

Field Assignment  A continuation of the learning process begun in IDC/SAT 321.
You will serve for 10-12 weeks as part of a team. As a team you will build on what you gained while serving in a community.  Direct experience is provided in serving a community where the participant can apply the biblical development values, concepts, processes, skills, and principles needed to serve a community in its growth towards God's intentions. The school field staff provide necessary support and encouragement within the unique situation in each community.
